ANDERSON COUNTY, Texas — Two people are dead following a wreck on US Highway 287 in Anderson County on Wednesday morning.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Alfred Velma, 62, of Seagoville was towing a trailer traveling south on US 287 before approaching a curve near CR 1435 causing for the trailer to sway.
DPS officials say Velma's vehicle lost control and crossed into the northbound lane striking the vehicle of Celsey Lively, 32, of Elkhart.
Both Velma and Lively were pronounced dead at the scene by DPS.
This investigation is still ongoing.
