The Rusk County Sheriff's Office arrested two people on drug charges on September 30.
According to the RCSO, Deputy Blake Wallace was dispatched to a suspicious call in the Leverett’s Chapel community.
Upon Deputy Wallace’s arrival, he located a male subject who was later found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
The RCSO says a female subject was also located inside the abandoned residence at the dispatched location.
Deputy Wallace obtained a search warrant for the vehicle in which the two subjects came to the residence in.
The deputy found packaged baggies of methamphetamine, a bag of prescription pills, syringes, metal spoons, one package of “kool-aid” methamphetamine, scales, and other paraphernalia.
Both subjects were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and prescription pills and transported to the Rusk County Jail.
Both were given a combined $26,500 bond.
The female subject was given an additional bond of $1,000 for giving a false name during Deputy Wallace’s initial investigation.
