TAYLOR, Michigan — A teen has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her little sister to death.
According to the Taylor Police Department in Taylor, Michigan, on Saturday, around 1:05 p.m., officers were called to the area of Telegraph St. and Chestnut St. on reports of a domestic disturbance.
When police arrived on scene, they learned a 7-year-old girl had sustained injuries consistent with stabbing. The child was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
The investigation led to the girl's 13-year-old sister being arrested in connection with the stabbing. The teen was taken into custody without incident.
"This is a tragic event for the family, and we are ensuring that the necessary resources are being made available to support everyone involved," Taylor police said. "We ask the public to respect the family's privacy as we carry out a thorough investigation."
