LONGVIEW, Texas — One man has been arrested in connection with an Aug. 6 shooting in Longview that left one teenager dead.
Ja'Michael Devorea O'Quinn, 19, of Longview, was arrested on a murder charge Monday, according to the Longview Police Department.
Longview Police spokesperson Brandon Thornton said the shooting happened around 6 p.m. in the 100 block of Hubbard Drive. One teenager was taken to the hospital, where they later died due to injuries sustained during the shooting.
O'Quinn was booked into the Gregg County Jail Monday on bonds totaling $257,000. In addition to murder, he is also charged with unlawful carrying weapon and fleeing a police officer.
The identity of the teenager has not been released at this time.
