1 person dead after shooting at Longview Waffle house

This is the 12th homicide in Longview this year and the third homicide in the city in less than a week.

LONGVIEW, Texas — One man was killed and a woman was injured after a shooting at a Waffle House in Longview early Friday morning.


Longview police said the shooting happened around 2 a.m. at the Waffle House, located on East Loop 281.


A man and woman with gunshot wounds were taken to a local hospital.


The man, later identified as Kendall Marshall, 27, of Longview, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.


The woman was flown to an out-of-town hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.


LPD does not have any information on a suspect at this time.

This is the 12th homicide in Longview this year, making it the most in the city since 2015 when 15 was recorded. It's the third homicide in the city in less than a week.
