LONGVIEW, Texas — A woman is dead after a moving train struck her in Longview Monday night.
According to the Longview Police Department, officers responded to an unknown problem on the 400 block of North Fredonia Street.
On the scene, witnesses directed the officers to the 200 block of North Second Street near the railroad tracks where a woman was lying on the tracks.
Police said the woman was dead and appeared to have been struck by a moving train.
The Longview Police Department and Union Pacific Railroad Police Department are investigating this case.
