LONGVIEW, Texas — One person was killed and two more were injured in a early morning wreck in northwest Longview.
According to the Longview Police Department, around 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a crash in the 2900 block of Dundee Road, near Greggton Missionary Baptist Church and the Pine Tree Road intersection.
Police say a Chevrolet Impala was traveling west on Dundee Road in the eastbound lane at a high rate of speed, while a Kia Amanti had just turned east onto Dundee Road. The vehicles then collided head-on.
The driver of the Kia was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet was also taken to a local hospital but with non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in the front seat of the Chevrolet died from their injuries.
The wreck is still under investigation and more information will be released at a later time.
