GLADEWATER, Texas — A man has been arrested in Gladewater after a shooting that left one woman dead.
Gladewater Police responded to the scene of a shooting incident at 220 S. Ferry St. around 11:16 p.m. on Saturday. Officials say when emergency crews arrived, they found Sheri Evans, a resident of the address, suffering from a gunshot wound. She died from her injuries at the scene.
Police arrested Jonie Mack Bowser in connection to the shooting, who was at the scene when officers arrived. Bowser was booked into Gregg County Jail and charged with murder, according to Gladewater Police.
