NACOGDOCHES, Texas — One person has been taken to a local hospital for an evaluation following a Sunday morning standoff in Nacogdoches County.
According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office, around 7 a.m., officials were called to conduct a welfare check in the 160000 block of U.S. 59 N.
"Shortly after the initial call was received, 911 dispatchers received reports of shots fired, and SWAT officers, the Nacogdoches Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Nacogdoches County EMS were dispatched as well," the NCSO said.
NCSO deputies were able to get in contact with the individual and take them into custody at 8;30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
