1 arrested in major drug bust in Daingerfield

Officers reportedly seized approximately 1,700 counterfeit Xanax pills, as well as fentanyl, cocaine, nine guns, and money allegedly connected to the sale of drugs.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — One person has been arrested following a major drug bust in Daingerfield on Friday.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department said they conducted a narcotic investigation alongside the DEA Task Force and U.S. Postal Inspection Service Office. The investigation led officials to Daingerfield, where they executed a search warrant alongside the Daingerfield Police Department.

Officers reportedly seized approximately 1,700 counterfeit Xanax pills, as well as fentanyl, cocaine, nine guns, and money that police say was connected to the sale of narcotics.

The suspect, a 28 year old male whose name has not been released, was arrested and booked into Morris County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm and endangering a child.
