KILGORE (Tyler Morning Telegraph) - All lanes of Highway 31 East near Kilgore were closed shortly after the 3 p.m. hour following a crash involving at least three cars.
According to officials on the scene, none of the injuries suffered were life-threatening, and there were no fatalities. A reporter on the scene said three cars are heavily damaged -- two appear to have collided head-on, and the third struck one of the others from the back. Ambulances have been seen leaving the scene, but there are no confirmed reports on the number of injuries.
Emergency radio traffic indicates a woman was being transported to an area hospital after being extricated from one of the vehicles.
