FRANKSTON (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) — He bought a home and has been living in the Frankston area under the name Michael Scott Kelly for the past several years, but an America's Most Wanted tipster believed he was in fact a man wanted for a string of violent robberies featured on the show last week.
The tipster's hunch proved right. On Sunday morning, U.S. marshals, Dallas police officers, Department of Public Safety troopers and Anderson County Sheriff's deputies took 56-year-old Brian Maurice Fuller into custody.
U.S. Deputy Marshal Dan Miller said this morning that the Dallas area marshal's office began working the case sometime ago and decided to utilize America's Most Wanted to generate tips on the man wanted for the robberies in Wichita Falls, Dallas and Highland Park.
America's Most Wanted profile of Fuller states the man was an accomplished tennis pro, who set his sights on wealthy victims and either he or an accomplice brutally beat several women as they robbed the victim of their jewelry.
Miller said Fuller was able to obtain a Texas Driver License under his assumed identity and was able to buy the house where he was apprehended under the same name.
"He was feeling pretty safe, and was very surprised when we took him into custody yesterday morning," he said.
Fuller is being held in the Anderson County Jail with no bond.
