Low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines to operate out of Tyler Pounds Regional Airport

Headquartered in Denver, Frontier Airlines currently serves more than 100 cities in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

TYLER, Texas — The City of Tyler has announced Frontier Airlines will now operate out of Tyler Pounds Regional Airport.

The airline says they will offer direct flights from Tyler Pounds (TYR) to Denver International Airport (DEN) beginning in July 2019. To celebrate the new route, Frontier is offering a special introductory one-way fare of $39, which is currently available on FlyFrontier.com.

The flight schedule will be as follows:

Depart Denver: 12:53 p.m.

Arrive in Tyler: 4 p.m.

Depart Tyler: 4:50 p.m.

Arrive in Denver: 6:19 p.m.

Frequency: Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday

Aircraft: Airbus A320

Service Starts: July 2, 2019 - Seasonal

The airline was the recipient of the Federal Aviation Administration’s 2015 Diamond Award for maintenance excellence, and was recently named the industry’s most fuel-efficient airline by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) as a result of superior technology and operational efficiency.

The airline prides itself on delivering "Low Fares Done Right."

Frontier says children 14-years-old an younger can fly for free as long as they're with an adult through the airline's Discount Den travel club on qualifying flights.
