Execution date set for man involved in killing 13-month-old Amora Carson

In May 2010, Blaine Milam was sentenced to death for the capital murder of 13-month-old Amora Carson. Jesseca Carson, Amora's mother, received life in prison without the possibility of parole when she was convicted in April 2011.

POLK COUNTY — Blaine Milam, 28, a registered sex offender, and his fiance' Jesseca Carson, 28, were found guilty, in separate trials, for the murder of Jessica's daughter 13-month-old Amora Carson.

In May 2010, Blaine Milam was sentenced to death for the capital murder of 13-month-old Amora Carson. Jesseca Carson, Amora's mother, received life in prison without the possibility of parole when she was convicted in April 2011.

Jesseca is serving out her life sentence at the Crain Unit in Gatesville.

Blaine is currently being housed at the Polunksy Unity in Livingston. He lost a federal appeal in May 2018. A date of execution has been set for January 15, 2019.
