WINONA, Texas — Winona ISD announced the lone finalist for the currently open superintendent positiion.
Damenion Miller is currently the district's assistant superintendent and is the high school principal.
Miller, a married father of three, has served in education for 20 years with Winona ISD, Tyler ISD, Chapel Hill ISD and Quitman ISD. In addition to being a principal and assistant superintendent, he also has been a teacher, head coach, director of technology and assistant principal.
Mr. Miller was announced as the finalist during a meeting of the Winona ISD Board of Trustees Tuesday.
The district will wait 21 days before offering him a contract.
