UPDATE: Oncor is reporting that a little less than 50 people are still without power after last nights storm. They have a few crews out in the Overton and Jacksonville areas to see if there's more to repair.
After the storm, 4,200 people were without power. High winds, trees and lightning were the problems for power outages.
In an unrelated incident about 1500 people on Old Omen Road lost power about 30 minutes ago but they are unsure why right now.
UPDATE: As of 7 am Friday morning -- 904 Oncor customers are without power following Thursday night's storms. Swepco is reporting no outages.
(KYTX) -- Storms rolled through East Texas Thursday night damaging a home, knocking down trees, and leaving people without power. Oncor reported more than 4,600 customers without power in Smith County as of 7 p.m. There were another 900 powerless in Cherokee County and 200 in Henderson County at that time.
The National Weather Service reports trees down in southeast Smith County and also Rusk County. A tree reportedly fell on a house damaging it in New London. No one was reported injured.
