HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — Three suspects were arrested early Friday morning in Henderson County for drug and gun charges.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, a Henderson County deputy pulled over a vehicle at about 1 a.m. in the Cherokee Shores area of Cedar Creek Lake.

The driver, 36-year-old Landon Wyrick of Gun Barrel City, was wanted on a parole violation for drug charges.

When Wyrick allegedly refused to allow the deputy to search the vehicle, the deputy retrieved his K-9 partner to search the vehicle.

The K-9 picked up on a scent in the vehicle. The deputy allegedly found methamphetamines and a loaded handgun in the center console.

The deputy subsequently arrested Wyrick.

At around the same time, another vehicle was stopped at the same scene.

Narcotics investigators detained the driver, 20-year-old Shelbi Sadler of Gun Barrel City.

The K-9 picked up another scent in Sadler's vehicle where deputies allegedly found a stash of methamphetamines and a digital scale.

Wyrick was taken to jail on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and parole violation.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office did not provide details of Sadler's charges.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office also arrested 31-year-old Randy Lynn Reynolds of Athens on a warrant for burglary and possession of methamphetamines.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office says they were originally called to the scene after drugs were spotted in the area by Mabank police officers.
