Police search for 2 accused of stealing from Tyler stores, pepper spraying employee

Officials said the suspects were driving a silver Honda with Louisiana LP# 514GBD and were last seen traveling east on Hwy 31 E.

TYLER, Texas — Police are searching for a man and woman accused of committing a robbery and theft at multiple stores on South Broadway in Tyler on Wednesday.

According to Tyler Police spokesperson Andy Erbaugh, at 11:30 a.m., two suspects loaded a cart with several items at the Academy Sports & Outdoors and walked out without paying. An employee was sprayed by a suspect as they tried to stop them from leaving.

The suspects then drove to the Ulta Beauty store around 12:05 p.m. on South Broadway Ave., where they committed theft, Erbaugh said.

Officials said the suspects were driving a silver Honda with Louisiana LP# 514GBD and were last seen traveling east on Hwy 31 E.

The robbery and theft are still under investigation by police.
