POLK COUNTY, Texas — Police are investigating a shooting after a homeowner shot an intruder in Polk County early Thursday morning.
According to Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a homeowner called to report a male suspect who was trying to enter the front door to his residence in the Indian Springs subdivision in Polk County.
The homeowner said an altercation happened and he shot the suspect in the head.
Officials responded to the call and found the suspect approximately two miles from the homeowner’s residence.
The suspect was flown to a Harris County hospital where he was later released with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Officials continue to investigate this incident to determine what happened.
