MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — A Mount Pleasant man was arrested after police say he crashed his car while under the influence.
According to Mount Pleasant Police Department, Daniel Mata, 21, was arrested Aug. 22. Police say they received a call around 11:40 p.m. about a car crash on E. Ninth St. When officers arrived, they found the vehicle on fire.
Witnesses in the area reported seeing Mata flee from the scene, and were able to locate him soon after. He was booked into jail and charged with DWI.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
