PALESTINE, Texas — The man who allegedly set a woman on fire during a robbery in Palestine was formally indicted Wednesday.
According to the indictment, Robert Thompson, 40, is charged with with two counts of aggravated robbery and one county of arson.

Thompson was arrested in late February after a robbery at a Palestine gas station.
Police say Thompson covered both the clerk and another woman, later identified as Della Witt-Denizeri, with lighter fluid. Then he allegedly lit Witt-Denizeri on fire before fleeing.
He was arrested and booked in the Anderson County Jail later that afternoon.
Thompson faces between five to 99 years in prison or life. His bond is set at $4 million.
