LONGVIEW, Texas — A Longview man wanted on a capital murder charge in Dallas County was arrested this week after a raid by U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement at an apartment complex.
Byron Louis Nelson, 56, was apprehended about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at his apartment in Longview.
Brian Leach, supervisory deputy at the U.S. Marshals Service’s office in Tyler, said the service received information that Nelson was living in Longview, so officers responded and arrested him. Nelson remained in the Gregg County Jail as of Thursday afternoon on $1 million bond.
