ATHENS, Texas — A clerk with the Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 in Henderson County.
According to the Henderson County jail records website, Dana Lynne Work, 51, was booked into the jail Monday on charges of abuse of official capacity, a felony charge. She posted the $8,500 bond and was released later that day.
Sheriff Botie Hillhouse told the Athens Daily Review that Work had been arrested as a part of a theft investigation.
Sheriff Hillhouse told the newspaper the investigation is ongoing.
