GALVESTON, Texas — A Galveston woman and her boyfriend were arrested after police said the woman's 4-month-old daughter was found unconscious from an opioid overdose.
According to court records, investigators believe the baby ingested oxycodone and fentanyl, likely from her milk bottle which tested postive for drugs.
The 4-month-old was found unconscious at the couple's home on Avenue M 1/2. Police said paramedics had to use Narcan to revive her.
Christa Watkins and Christopher Luis Velasquez have been charged with felony injury to a child.
They're being held at Galveston County Jail with no bond.
