LONGVIEW, Texas — A 20-year-old Longview man whom police describe as a documented gang member is behind bars.
Mario Luis Perez was being held Monday in the Gregg County Jail on $30,500 in bonds and an Immigration and Naturalization Service detainer.
Longview police arrested Perez during a traffic stop at Mobberly Avenue and Melton Street at 11:27 p.m. Saturday, after an officer noticed a sedan that didn't have a front license plate, authorities said.
