If you live in Jacksonville and need to do some landscaping, the city can help you out. The Public Works department is giving away free mulch.
City staff members recently cleaned many streets of debris and low-hanging limbs, and now they're turning that into mulch.
Residents can pick up as much mulch as they would like. The city will even load it in your truck or trailer for free.
In order to take advantage of this opportunity, all residents of Jacksonville need to do is contact James Worley at the Public Works Building at 903-589-3510.
