Cherokee County Court docket cancellations amid COVID-19

The County Court at Law states there will be no jail run dockets from now until April 1.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Texas — The Cherokee County Court at Law has implemented new procedures amid concerns over the coronavirus Friday. 

According to statement from the County Court at Law, the changes are to reduce the impact of the coronavirus on parties, jurors, the public, judges and staff. 

  1. We will continue to hear and conduct all essential proceedings including, but not limited to CPS emergency removal hearings, temporary restraining orders / temporary injunctions, family violence protective orders, and certain mental health proceedings.
  2. Large docket calls, and jury trials will be suspended to avoid the gatherings of large groups of people until at least April 1, 2020.
  • Following is a list of the dockets that are cancelled:
  • MARCH 17, 2020 ATTORNEY GENERAL DOCKET
  • MARCH 20, 2020 CPS DOCKET
  • MARCH 23, 2020 JURY SELECTION
