GILMER (KYTX) -- Gilmer ISD's Buckeye Stadium will now be called "Jeff Traylor Stadium" in honor of the school's former head football coach.
According to Gilmer ISD Superintendent Rick Albritton, the change was approved at the school board meeting Monday night.
Traylor was hired by the Texas Longhorns in February after coaching the Gilmer Buckeyes for 15 years. Traylor won 87 percent of his games in those 15 seasons at Gilmer, including three state championships.
