LONGVIEW, Texas — Two Longview restaurants are giving back to those in the trenches after storms wreaked havoc on the city Wednesday afternoon.

According to Texas Roadhouse in Longview, they will be serving free burgers and chips from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. (or while supplies last) to the following:

  • SWEPCO linemen
  • Upshur Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation linemen
  • Working first responders
  • City of Longview employees

The meals will be served under the eatery's pavilion, located at 320 East Loop 281. This offer is valid at the Longview location only.

"We greatly appreciate all the hard work after such a terrible storm," the restaurant said in a statement.

Bubba's 33 is also serving a hot meal to those helping our neighbors in need.

The restaurant is serving sandwiches, burgers and pizza to the same group of helpers mentioned above, until 3 p.m. They are located at 200 East Loop 281.
