PANOLA COUNTY, Texas — Deputies from the Panola County Sheriff's Office are asking the public's help in their search for 32-year-old Lauren Elizabeth Thompson, a missing woman.

The sheriff's office said that Panola County Dispatch got a 911 call from Thompson who told them she was in a wooded area and thought someone was chasing her.

Authorities said she "appeared to be very disoriented and confused."

A short time later, officials found her vehicle stuck in a ditch of an oil and gas company lease road off of Farm to Market Road 1794, near the Rock Hill Community.

Thompson's cell phone battery had run out during the 911 call she made, so no further contact has been established with her as of now.

Officers stayed on the scene throughout the night and continue to follow leads as of Friday morning.

According to authorities, Thompson is 5' 5", about 180-190 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing dark pants or leggings and a dark hoodie.

Air support, as well as search canine teams have been searching since yesterday.

All available personnel and assets from the sheriffs office are also being utilized.

Officials are asking people to please report any information that may help them find Thompson.

Anyone with information can call the Panola County Sheriff's Office at 903-693-0333.
