Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance to recognize Hispanic leaders at annual awards banquet

Several Hispanic community members will be recognized for their contributions in the East Texas Hispanic community.

The Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance will honor local business leaders in the Hispanic community at their annual awards banquet.

The 2023 Hispanic Achievers & Business Leaders Awards will be on October 10, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center. Doors will open at 11 a.m. for the event.

Attorney Jose Sanchez will be the Keynote Speaker at the event. Sanchez is the president and owner of Jose Sanchez Law Firm PC in Longview. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico and was raised in Longview. Sanchez's practice ranges from personal injury actions to family immigration cases. He was featured in countless publications and TV and radio interviews. Over the years, Sanchez has given back to the community.

Several Hispanic community members will be recognized for their contributions to the East Texas Hispanic community.

Below is a list of awards that will be announced during the event:

  • Emerging Business of the Year
  • Small Business of the Year
  • Construction/Development Business of the Year
  • Restaurant Business of the Year
  • Woman Owned Business of the Year
  • Community Organization of the Year
  • Outstanding Organization of the Year
  • Outstanding Professional of the Year
  • Community Impact Leader of the Year Award
  • President's Adelante Award

All awards except the President's Adelante Award, are nominated by the community. This year, there were more nominations than in the past.

"We continue to receive more and more nominations each year. It’s wonderful to see how our community has become highly engaged in participation and playing a role in the nomination process," said Nancy Rangel, Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance President and CEO.
