TYLER, Texas — It’s been nearly three months since Harley Morris was first reported missing after disappearing one night on the northside of Tyler.
"Men don’t come up missing like this. This is not the normal," said Wendi Morris, mother of Harley Morris.
Morris will have been missing for three months this Sunday. He disappeared on Jan. 21 outside of 2126 North Grand Avenue – what used to be the 50 Grand Club. In those three months, there haven’t been any recent developments, but the case has garnered interest online.
Holly McLaughlin is a content creator on TikTok, and she dedicates her account to researching missing persons cases that seem to have gone cold. Recently, she’s made a few posts about Harley, that have gained almost 2,500 views. She does it to shine light on these cases and create a world where everyone is looked after.
"And I do gave two young children, and if something were to happen to one of them I would want all eyes and ears," McLaughlin said.
Since McLaughlin began posting about Harley’s case on her account, the Help Find Harley Morris Facebook group has gained about 500 members.
People will gather at 2126 North Grand Ave. for Harley’s vigil this Sunday at 2 p.m. Loved ones hope events like this will gain more attention around the community and eventually more attention nationwide.
"We’re still looking for him and we still need your help. If you can join our Facebook page so that we can try to get enough interest to try and get on the national shows, we would really appreciate your help," Wendi Morris said.
The case hasn’t gone anywhere in months, so Wendi Morris hopes that national attention will get more people searching for her son. Because she hasn’t given up.
"And since we haven’t found his body, I still have hope that we’ll find Harley," Morris said.
