East Texas community steps up to help man, baby after wife killed in crash

Jamary Neal's life was changed forever this weekend after his wife Amanda was killed in a sudden and tragic car crash.

TYLER, Texas — A local family is reeling after a terrible crash over the weekend. A young woman was killed - her husband reached out for support from the East Texas community, and he was blown away by the response.

"Yeah, I mean I’ve, like my phone’s been blowing up, like, every day. All day every day," Jamary Neal, husband to Amanda Moa said.

Neal's life was changed forever this weekend after his wife Amanda was killed in a sudden and tragic car crash.

In the wake of the tragedy, Neal realized he needed breast milk for his 8-month-old son Amari. Neal took his request to Facebook, where he found a whole world of supporters from East Texas and beyond.

"I literally have hundreds of messages from women all over even like ‘I will come from Louisiana, I will come from Dallas, I will keep feeding, I will keep pumping.’ Whatever just willing to help him," Tyler resident Tricia Madison said.

Madison helped spread the word about Neal’s family, and now she said he has more milk than he knows what to do with.

It's an unbelievably difficult time for Jamary and the entire Neal family, but they’re grateful to be a part of the East Texas community.

"Yeah I mean it means a lot, honestly. When a person is in need it’s good to know that there’s people out there that’ll help. Knowing that people like outside of my friends and family are willing to help, that truly means a lot to me honestly," Neal said.

Neal named a few additional needs after his initial request has been granted, but that’s not stopping the East Texas community from continuing to support the new father in these difficult times.

"Anything like gift cards, food cards, gas cards, anything practical like that that he can just use later," Madison said.
