TYLER, Texas — Meet Echo the Eurasian eagle-owl, an animal ambassador at the Caldwell Zoo!
She represents birds of prey, also known as raptors, to the public to help spread awareness about species conservation. She, along with several other animals, often attend raptor talks at the zoo to be a public face for her wild counterparts.
"When you get to put a name and face to like a raptor, it'll help you make smarter choices when doing things like pest control, where the difference between you know poisoning or using like a snap trap or something could mean the life of a raptor," said Nicole Moore, the zoo's supervisor of birds.
