18 puppies allegedly dumped behind house in Central Texas

The puppies are reportedly with Groesbeck Animal Control and will soon be available for adoption.

GROESBECK, Texas — Eighteen puppies were reportedly dumped behind a home in Groesbeck on Tuesday, May 21.

A post shared to the Facebook group What's Happening in Limestone County, TX claimed that the 18 puppies were dumped behind a woman's house, and asked for anyone who would be willing to foster or adopt one or some of the dogs.

The woman later provided an update, saying the dogs were with Groesbeck Animal Control. She said the dogs were going to the vet for checkup.

The City of Groesbeck Animal Control confirmed, saying the puppies had been picked up and were being cared for, and that they will "soon be available for adoption".

According to the woman, the puppies are "super sweet".

Groesbeck Animal Control is also asking for any information on who may have dumped the puppies. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Groesbeck Police Department at 254-729-3497 and speak to Officer Dobson in animal control.
