Several East Texas marching bands across the region have qualified for the State Military Band Competition and the State Open Class Marching Bandband
From summer band camps to football games, these marching bands have put in the time and effort to perfect their shows. Now, they will have the opportunity to perform their shows one last time and compete against some of the best marching bands in the state.

Military Marching Bands
Marching Bands:
* State qualifiers for divisions 2A, 4A, and 6A will be posted Sun., Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. State qualifiers for divisions 1A, 3A, and 5A will be posted Sun., Oct. 29 at 3 p.m.
4A Bands:
- Canton
The Military State Marching Competition is scheduled for Oct. 24 and 25 at the Baylor's McLane Stadium in Waco. Bands in the 3A, 5A, and 6A divisions will perform on Oct. 24. Bands in the 1A, 2A, and 4A divisions will perform on Oct. 25.
The State Open Class Marching Band Competition is scheduled for Oct. 31 to Nov. 1 and Nov. 6 to 8 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Bands in the 2A, 4A, and 6A divisions will perform on Oct. 31 to Nov. 1 Bands in the 1A, 3A, and 5A divisions will perform on Nov. 6 to 8.
Tickets for both state competitions are $20 for single day tickets and double day tickets are $35.
