Sara Blue

CBS19 Morning Meteorologist

Sara Blue joined CBS19 in Aug. 2023, as the weekday morning meteorologist.

As an Arizona native, she attended Arizona State University where she graduated with a B.S. in meteorology and a B.A. in broadcast journalism.

During her time at ASU, she interned at KNXV and AZPBS where she helped cover the extreme weather and climate in the southwest.  She also served as weather anchor for the award-winning student-led newscast Cronkite News and hosted a weekly radio show called “Weather or Not.”

Sara realized she wanted to become a meteorologist when she was 15.  She was hiking when a massive flash flood swept through and caused several fatalities. From that moment, she knew she wanted to help inform the public of the impact of Mother Nature and decided to pursue a career in meteorology.

When she’s not tracking the latest storms, Sara loves hiking, exploring local coffee shops and getting lost in mystery novels. To catch up with her, or just to recommend new restaurants, look up @sarabluewx on all social media platforms.
