CBS 19 will have a new anchor joining Tashara Parker in the evenings.

Aaron Baker of Dallas will serve as a new Anchor/Host of CBS 19 evening newscasts. Aaron comes to East Texas with deep community ties and a strong connection to the market.

“It’s not often that we have the opportunity to bring a talented Anchor/Host from the Dallas market to East Texas. We are looking forward to our viewers getting to know Aaron,” Donna Wilson, President/General Manager of CBS 19 said. “Beyond his role in television, Aaron is a husband, and a father to a sweet little girl. He has family in Tyler and Lindale, so he joins us with an understanding of the issues that are important to East Texas.”

“Being close to family is deeply important to me. With our loved ones in the area, East Texas has always felt like home, so I’m incredibly honored to be joining the CBS 19 team," Baker said. "The station is leading the way in compelling local content, and I’m excited to have the privilege to uncover stories that are important to the community. I can’t wait to connect with our audience and spend time getting to know everyone.”

Aaron has spent nine years on-camera as a host. He has appeared on the nationally-recognized Home Shopping Network, as well as in videos for brands including Samsung Electronics, Travelers Insurance, and Verizon.

He is the former host of PhoneDog, a YouTube technology show. His top 10 videos on YouTube have received over nine million views, and he's developed a social media following as an influential voice in the technology space. His experience also includes PR and Communications.

When Aaron is not working, he enjoys running, traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
