NACOGDOCHES - SFA football head coach Clint Conque holds several camps throughout the summer every year. The Lumberjacks coaches run the camps, but occasionally, they have special guests stop by Homer Bryce Stadium.
On Friday night, 2 of those special guests made an appearance as Arkansas head coach Chad Morris and Memphis head coach Mike Norvell were checking out some of the top talent in East Texas.
And they had plenty of great athletes to check out as over 100 kids took part in the camp.
Both Memphis and Arkansas don't have a lot of players with East Texas ties. But both coaches hope that will be changing in the near future.
Morris says, "Obviously the talent in East Texas is phenomenal."
Norvell adds, "To be able to come down and work with some of the top players in the region is pretty special."
