RUSK COUNTY, Texas — Two people were hospitalized following a Saturday morning two-vehicle accident in Rusk County
Around 10:35 a.m., the Crims Chapel and New London Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the collision involving an 18-wheeler and an SUV at the intersection of U.S. Highway 259 North and Farm-to-Market Road 850.
The CCVFD says two people were taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
Due to a diesel spill, the Texas Department of Transportation and HAZMAT crews are still working to clear the scene of the wreck.
Drivers are asked to slow down when traveling between Kilgore and Henderson.
The conditions of those injured are unknown at this time, but CBS19 will update this story as more information becomes available.
