HENDERSON, Texas — One person was hospitalized on Monday following a shooting in Henderson.
According to the Henderson Police Department, officers responded to the 1400 block of West Lake Street on reports of a shooting.
When officials arrived on scene, they discovered a 22-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The unidentified victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
The HPD says, according to witnesses at the scene, at least two masked individuals who were armed with guns approached the residence from a vehicle parked nearby. Shots were fired which resulted in the victim being struck in the chest.
The shooters have not been identified or arrested at this time.
An investigation at the scene resulted in the execution of a search warrant where marijuana, narcotics and an undetermined amount of cash was seized.
