Northeast Texas high school students to be laid to rest Tuesday following fatal crash

BOGATA, Texas — Two Northeast Texas high school students will be laid to rest on Tuesday after their promising lives were cut short following an automobile accident.

According to Rivercrest Independent School District, Brandon Luke Earley and Kolby "Tut" Fletcher died in a two-vehicle crash after school Friday afternoon on Highway 37.

Fletcher, a senior, was celebrating his 18th birthday on the day he passed, while Early, a junior, had just turned 17 in January.

"Both boys participated in many different school activities through the years from athletics to Ag," the school said. "They were loved by their classmates and leave behind many friends to mourn their loss."

Earley’s funeral is slated for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Love Civic Center in Paris with visitation prior to the service. Fletcher's life will be honored at 2 p.m., also on Tuesday, at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Rivercrest ISD has canceled classes for Tuesday.

Earley's family requests donations to be made to the Luke Earley Scholarship Fund.
