What East Texans love about spring

Tuesday marked the first day of spring and CBS19 hit the streets to find out what you like the most about the season.

Tuesday marked the first day of spring and CBS19 hit the streets to find out what you like the most about the season.

"The flowers, the Azaleas and the dog woods and the roses," said Francis Jewett. "I mean the area just seems to blossom."

The flowers are such an attraction, thousands of people travel from all over the state to follow the Azalea Trails.

"There's just nothing like spring in the south, the Dogwood, the red blooms, the Azaleas, it's just beautiful, love the flowers!" said Margo Ballew.

East Texans also seemed excited to see new critters in the area.

"The new life, the excitement of the new growth gives you energy and makes you feel better," said Herb Bellard.

Not to mention, most people also seemed happy for the warmer temperatures.

"I love the weather, the weather is the best, the sunshine, the wind, the cool air, it's my favorite," said Louellen Lowe.
