SMITH COUNTY — A team from the Tyler Salvation Army has gotten orders to be deployed to Florida and help prepare for Hurricane Michael in Pensacola.
According to the Salvation Army, the Tyler team will bring supplies and support using their mobile kitchen used in disaster situations.
The team plans to leave on Wednesday.
If you'd like to help the Salvation Army's relief efforts, they said the best way to do so is by making a financial contribution.
Monetary donations give the organization flexibility to meed needs of disaster survivors without having to incur costs related to moving, sorting, transporting etc. donated goods.
