ANDERSON COUNTY, Texas — A Frankston man was killed Tuesday night after being hit by a truck near Palestine.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on US-79, about five miles southwest of Palestine.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, pickup driven by James Marcus Stone, 24, was traveling toward Palestine on US-79 as Monte Ray Large, 66, was attempting to cross the roadway.
DPS says the the truck hit Large in the northbound lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
