4 people arrested in Henderson County for possession of a controlled substance, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance

A deputy following up on a tip of drug dealing activity made the arrest following a traffic stop.

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — A traffic stop lead to the arrest of 4 people for possession of a controlled substance and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was following a tip from the Henderson County Narcotics Investigators about narcotics being sold out of the Eagle Inn in Gun Barrel City.

The deputy pulled a car over leaving the motel that was being driven by 38-year-old Jeremy Starr, of Gun Barrel City, and three passengers, Veronica Lamb,39, of Seven Points, Matthew Oliver, 29, of Gun Barrel City, and Stetson McCoy, 24, of Eustace.

During the stop the deputy used his K-9 partner for an open-air sniff of the vehicle. The K-9 had a positive alert on the vehicle allowing the deputy to conduct a probable cause search of the vehicle.

During the search, a large amount of methamphetamines, scales, numerous drug paraphernalia and a large sum of cash was located.

All four people were arrested. 

Lamb was charged for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

McCoy was charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams.

Both Oliver and Starr were charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Both the cash and vehicle were seized by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office for the use in the felony delivery of the controlled substance.
